Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Final DLC Character Coming October 19th

Super Smash Bros. Since Ultimate was released for Nintendo Switch in 2018, players have spent more than 2.2 billion hours on the game’s multiple modes, comprising 11.7 billion offline matches and 7.8 billion online multiplayer fights. The all-star game is also Super Smash Bros. As part of the Ultimate: Fighters Pass DLC*, it featured countless additional fighters, props, and legendary soundtracks from all of video game history.
Standing alongside fighters like Mario, Zelda, PAC-MAN, Sonic, Snake and Cloud on October 19th, the next beloved hero of the video game world will take his place as the last in this historic series.
Super Smash Bros. In the video hosted by the director of the series, Masahiro Sakurai, Sora from the KINGDOM HEARTS series Super Smash Bros. He revealed that he will be the last DLC fighter added to Ultimate, completing an extraordinary journey of almost three years of new fighter. Sora is part of the Challenger Pack 11 DLC*, which includes a new stage and a set of music tracks from the KINGDOM HEARTS series. The video presentation provides an in-depth look at the new fighter’s move set, as well as a detailed look at the newly added Hollow Bastion stage.
Challenger Pack 11 includes Super Smash Bros. featuring Min Min from ARMS, Steve & Alex from Minecraft, Sephiroth from FINAL FANTASY VII, Pyra/Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Kazuya from the TEKKEN series. Ultimate: Fighters Pass Vol. Part of 2*. Challenger Pack 11 can be purchased separately.
The protagonist of the KINGDOM HEARTS series is Sora, a young boy wielding the iconic Keyblade and traveling the worlds of Disney and Pixar, fighting enemies known as the Heartless to overcome darkness and restore peace to the realms. His distinctive looks and airborne movements in KINGDOM HEARTS games make him look like Super Smash Bros. It delivers a friendly fighter with a unique feel that helps Sora stand out on his own, making the Ultimate take on the battlefields perfectly.
Inspired by his moves in KINGDOM HEARTS, Sora plays Super Smash Bros. He masters mid-air combat playing him in Ultimate. His jumps are high, his movements are light and smooth. Although easily thrown by his opponents, his powerful, combo-based attacks using Sora’s Keyblade make him a formidable opponent.
By pressing a series of intuitive buttons, Sora can perform all sorts of different combinations with his Keyblade, whether it’s direct attacks, aerial moves or side shots. He can also use Magic as in KINGDOM HEARTS. Fans will recognize the Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzaga spells that can be unleashed in a variety of ways to cover the battlefield with impressive hits. Sora can also activate his Final Strike called “Sealing the Keyhole” to blow his precious opponents away.
The new stage players will receive in Challenger Pack 11 is the Hollow Bastion. Fans of the KINGDOM HEARTS series will immediately recognize this familiar location, which is heavily featured in many games in the series. The dynamic scene features a platform at its center, and as the battle draws to a close, players will travel to a special area inspired by Dive to the Heart with visuals featuring some familiar faces from the KINGDOM HEARTS series.
After downloading Challenger Pack 11, players will also receive nine music tracks from the KINGDOM HEARTS series. For those playing KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory, an additional music track, Dearly Beloved -Swing Version- will be added to this game. A new Spirit Board will also be added, featuring KINGDOM HEARTS characters such as Riku, Kairi, and Roxas. Additionally, new paid in-game skins for Mii Fighter will be available separately, including Doom Slayer, Octoling Wig, and Judd Hat.
From October 5 to October 24, 2021 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fighters Pass, Fighters Pass Vol. Players who purchase 2 or any of the individual Challenger Packs digitally, including the standalone warrior Piranha Plant, will earn 2x Gold Points.
