The current version 2.3 of Genshin Impact is almost over and although fans are overjoyed to finally get the game’s new Geo 5-star Arataki Itto into battle, many are still saving their Primogems for the arrival of the upcoming Cryo 5 Star Shenhe , already confirmed that she will debut with the new 4-star Yun Jin in version 2.4. But will Shenhe be a DPS or a support?
Shenhe Elemental Ability and Burst
According to the many leaks regarding Shenhe, as well as official information released by miHoYo, Shenhe will be a 5-star Cryo Polearm user capable of high elemental (Cryo) damage in the field, but her main strength will be in both her ability to buff her teammates ‘attacks and deal damage off the field thanks to her elemental Summon Spring Spirit ability, which allows her to increase the damage caused by her teammates’ cryo-attacks based on her total ATK for one specific time and its elemental burst, “Divine Maiden’s Deliverance”, which regularly causes high cryo-damage and at the same time reduces the opponent’s physical and cryo-RES in an AoE.
Talents and constellations
Your talents will focus on increasing the damage of characters under the AoE of their Elemental Strike by increasing their Cryo Damage by 10%, as well as increasing the overall damage of those under the effect of their Elemental Skill by increasing their Elemental Skill / Burst damage by 15% and their normal / charged / fall damage by 15%. Your constellations will also focus on empowering their teammates and increasing the availability and overall performance of both their Elemental Ability and Burst, making them a great alternative for those looking to upgrade their Elemental DPS.
Is Shenhe a support or a DPS?
Other than that, Shenhe will be an offensive support out of the field, specifically focused on polishing Cryo DPS, which makes her a great fit for characters like Ayaka or Ganyu thanks to her ability to constantly deal Cryo damage with her normal / charged inflicting strokes.
Genshin Impact is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and mobile devices – Android and iOS.
